Change as Opportunity
You never know what’s around the next corner. The latest battering of the economy taught us to be aware of change. That’s why strategic marketing is so important. If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll get somewhere. But it won’t be there.

I was recently invited to speak at the Council Grove Conference on Consciousness in Kansas during the month of April, 2009. As a featured speaker, I was aware of the vast talent and imagination of those in attendance. Since 1968, people from all over the world have convened outside of the little town of Council Grove to present their findings on the subtle energies of life.

I was fortunate enough to be asked to give a talk on the “Physics of Peace.” In 2005, I crisscrossed the country with lecture engagements about my novel Backbeat: A Novel of Physics. The book attempts to be a bridge between those who find the scientific method the only source of real knowledge and those who believe their intuitive powers are as justified for respect. The link between physics and peace came over the last several years as it become evident that the dynamics of any endeavor has a scientific basis.

Quantum physics and relativity has been a hobby of mine for quite some time. I went back to school for physics more as a diversion from the day-to-day then to become a physicist. Yet the more I learned, the more I realized that quantum physics has a lot to teach us about marketing. To stay in the quantum uncertainty until all paths are considered is the key to creativity.

Spontaneity is the crucible of creativity. My hobby and my work have been unified in the quantum soup! – J. Fred Arment
